The Ukrainian national Tairov research institute of viticulture and wine-making is situated 10 km from Odessa.The generous southern sun, the noble earth, the unique combination of sea breeze, liman`s waters and clear sources allow more than 50 new sorts of vines grow and develop on this basis 17 brands of wine.
At the beginning of the excursion you will hear an interesting story of the institute. Then you will pass along the adit - a narrow path in a stone tunnel, like a catacomb – and visit an elegant rotunda on the liman's shore, where you can see multi-tiered terraces planted with vines. Then you will come down to wine cellar. The tighted with almost stone spider's web bottles, pounchy kegs along the walls are the collection of the institute…
After examining the collection you will visit the vintage wine sampling area, where you will have the ability to buy whichever wines you please for your own collection. |
