The history of Opera and Ballet Theater started with the history of Odessa, it was built in 1809. February 10, 1810 it has invited first visitors and the first performance took place. But, unfortunately, the Theater burned down in fire in 1873. And in 1887 the Theater was built again in the style of Venice Baroque, which was the main architecture style of the end of 16th century to the middle of 18th century.

          The outside of the Theater is decorated by the numerous sculptures reflecting the sketches of different performances and compositions.

           The inside of the Theater has amazing decorations and golden ornaments. Each detail of the inside decoration is the masterpiece of art. Undoubtedly, the most beautiful part of the theater is considered to be the Main Hall. The stage is 500 square feet in size. The Hall has unique acoustics, which makes it possible to hear even the slightest whisper from the stage at any place in the Hall.
